Edison Future Pickup & Delivery Van

Edison Future, a Livermore, California-based electric car startup founded as recently as 2020, has unveiled two electric whoppers at CES 2022. An EF1-T pickup truck and an EF1-V delivery van are on display by the company, which is part of China’s SPI Energy.

The pickup truck has a retractable hard folding roof over the truck bed with solar panels named after the Texas Armadillo. The camera rearview mirrors and transparent display for the driver are also noteworthy.

The technical details for the pickup: for the single engine applies a range of 480 kilometers, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 6.5 seconds; for the dual engine variant applies a range (EPA) of about 600 kilometers, acceleration from 0-100km/h in less than 4.5 seconds; for the triple engine variant range (EPA) of 720 kilometers and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.9 seconds. Towing capacity for trailers ranges from 3,400 to nearly 5,000 kilograms.

There is hardly any data on the van itself yet, but the transport load starts at 3,400 kilograms, and it is to be delivered as a standard and Long Rage model. Solar panels are also to be offered as an equipment feature for this vehicle.
