Lucid Sapphire: You blink, and it’s at 60mph
Lucid Motors, maker of one of the most powerful electric luxury sedans, unveiled its new brand of sports luxury sedan this week at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, California: The Lucid Air Sapphire. And the performance specs are impressive: 0 to 100km/h (96 km/h or 0 to 60 mph to be exact) in under 2 seconds, the quarter mile in under 9 seconds, and the car with three engines with an as yet undisclosed horsepower figure, but it should be over 1200. Top speed: over 200mph (320km/h).
The price is US$249,000, with production starting in 2023.
