Togg Unveils Electric SUV Concept Car

The extent to which electromobility is reshuffling the cards can be seen in the new entrants. In addition to the automotive company Vinfast from Vietnam, startups from Turkey are also entering and shaking up the market. The Turkish company Togg presented a small SUV as an electric, autonomous and connected vehicle.

Togg CEO Gürcan Karakaş aims to produce one million vehicles in five vehicle categories per year by 2030, with the first vehicle to be delivered at the end of 2022, followed by a mid-size SUV in 2023. The vehicle design was developed with the Italian design firm Pininfarina.

The batteries are to be developed and produced in-house together with the Chinese company Farasis Energy. Particular emphasis was placed on a user-focus. 2,000 people were interviewed in 30 focus groups and the vehicle was designed to meet their requirements.

More details about the vehicle are not yet available, but here are the first pictures and videos from the vehicle presentation:

Here’s another video of the vehicle at the Togg booth at CES 2022.
