Are Cruise Robotaxi Available Again?
After the incident and subsequent suspension of Cruise, the Californian Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) confirmed a few days ago that Cruise has reapplied for a robotaxi license, but in the first step for those with a safety driver behind the wheel.
When I randomly opened the Cruise app today, I saw that four cities were displayed in which rides should be possible. These are San Francisco, Houston, Austin and Phoenix. And that between 9:00 pm and 5:30 am. A few days ago, however, I couldn’t see any cruise vehicles in San Francisco.
Are cruise robotaxis quietly on the road again?
