Autonomous Apple Test Vehicle Spotted in Bellevue, WA

For the first time, a report of a sighting of an Apple autonomous test vehicle outside of California has reached us. Kevin Chau, a resident of Bellevue in Washington state north of California, saw this vehicle in his hometown.

Reports of sightings of autonomous vehicles from Waymo and Mobileye in New York City or GM Cruise in Phoenix have been accumulating recently. The sighting of Apple’s vehicle shows the intensification of efforts by manufacturers of autonomous driving technology to bring it to production readiness and to put robotic taxi fleets into operation.

Currently, however, little is clear about how far Apple has progressed with its own technology and its own electric car, which has long been rumored.
