Autonomous Test Vehicle Spotted in Düsseldorf
This autonomous test vehicle from the Institute for Automotive Engineering was filmed today in Düsseldorf on Heinrich-Heine-Allee. It is the KoMo:d next – a project for automated driving in the digital test field Düsseldorf.
The automated vehicle drives along an approx. 1.2 km circuit on Heinrich-Heine-Allee, reacting to 16 traffic lights. Communication takes place via a mobile radio interface. In addition, the vehicle follows the course of the route, reacts to surrounding road users and performs an automatic lane change.
