Lucid Reveals Driver Assist System Called DreamDrive

Production began this month, delivery of the first Lucid Air is due in the next few days, and Lucid Motors is now following up with more details. The new electric car manufacturer unveiled its version of a driver assistance system that will be gradually developed into an autonomous driving system. DreamDrive, as the system is called, which accesses 32 sensors installed in the Lucid Air and even includes a LiDAR – I’ve already reported on this here – contains lane and distance keeping, an automatic brake assistant and a parking aid in the first version. These functions, which are already part of the standard equipment in many premium vehicles, will be expanded in the future via over-the-air updates, and will also include an automatic lane change assistant.

The nearly five-minute video released today contains more details about the features.
