Rivian’s Delivery Vehicle for Amazon Spotted in Michigan

We’ve reported in the past on Rivian’s electric delivery trucks and Amazon’s 100,000-vehicle order. Following the IPO, the start of deliveries of the first hundreds of R1T pickups, sightings of delivery vehicles are now piling up. Here’s a sighting inthe city of Woodhaven, which is south of Detroit in the U.S. state of Michigan.

It is strange how the driver of the vehicle drove to the charging stations to charge. The vehicle looks very large and also already a bit battered. Here is the video:

Look what I just spotted! A @Rivian @amazon Van charging at a (rather rusty ) @evgonetwork station in Woodhaven, Michigan

So cool to see one in person!! It’s so big pic.twitter.com/Yov3CFQ2uh

Either way, Rivian’s stock price and valuation seems to reflect a pent-up demand for electric delivery vehicles that has hardly been met. Currently, Rivian ranks as the fifth most valuable automotive company.
