Tesla delivers 254,695 cars in Q2 2022
Tesla’s April-June 2022 quarterly numbers are in, and they show the impact of Corona for the first time. So far, Tesla had come through the pandemic relatively well, but then the Gigafactory in Shanghai was shut down for nearly two months, and the impact is showing. Nor did the supply chain disruptions spare Tesla.
In the second quarter of 2022, 254,695 vehicles were delivered and 258,580 were produced. This included 16,162 Model S and Model X, and 238,533 Model 3 and Model Y.

Tesla thus increased deliveries by 27 percent compared with the second quarter of the previous year. However, compared to the first quarter of 2022, the number of deliveries slumped by 18 percent. The COVID-related closure of Shanghai and the resulting lack of production figures amount to an estimated 60,000 units.
Tesla has managed an average increase of 62 percent per year since 2013. Tesla has thus delivered 2,899,465 electric cars to customers in its history.
