Volta Trucks Spotted in Paris

While walking in Paris this morning, suddenly a truck catches my eye. Because of its shape, but also because of the large inscription with a plug. An electric truck from the Swedish company Volta Trucks is standing there, just across the Café de Flore. I lose no time and rush across the Boulevard Saint-Germain to take shameless pictures. I didn’t need to, because three employees of Volta Trucks were making a delivery with this truck, saw me and invited me to take a seat inside and ask questions.

This example, the Volta Zero, an electric truck for inner-city delivery services, has a range of up to 200 kilometers, can carry 8 tons, has a wonderful all-round view with the driver sitting centrally in the middle, as in the Tesla Semi, and is powered by one electric motor. And let’s not forget: there is no noise, as there is no diesel engine rattling, only the electric motor purring.

Volta Trucks offers truck-as-a-service to fleet managers and can be leased as an all-inclusive package. Here are a few impressions of the Volta Zero in Paris.
