Waymo and Geely Present Robotaxi without Steering Controls

What started with Toyota Prius, Lexus SUVs, an in-house development – the so-called Firefly Cars – the Fiat Chrysler Pacifica minivan and now finds its application in the current Jaguar iPace variant, is not the end of the development of Waymo robotaxis. A year ago, Waymo released a first photo of a steering-wheel-less robotaxi in collaboration with Chinese manufacturer Geely, and now there was a closer look at the car at a press presentation in Los Angeles.

Independent of Waymo, Geely is apparently also working on its own version for the Chinese market.
