Woven Planet Receives California Test Permit

A subsidiary of Toyota, Woven Planet North America, is currently the 54th company to receive a license from the California DMV to test autonomous vehicles on public roads.

In Woven Planet, Toyota appears to be bringing together a number of technologies and companies to develop the mobility of the future, including buying a maker of autonomous operating software, Renovo, and automated mapping software, Carmera, as well as Lyft’s Level 5-subsidiary, which develops autonomous vehicles.
