California-Based Electric Car Startup INDI Shows INDI One at CES

Indi, another electric car startup from California, was only founded in 2017 in Vernon near Los Angeles. At CES 2022, the company, which currently employs around 70 people, presented the first prototype of the INDI One. This is to be launched on the market in two years with a 95kWh battery and cost between 45,000 and 65,000 US dollars. The range is expected to be between about 432 and 480 kilometers and will be able to seat 5 people.

INDI works with German design companies, Tata in India and companies in Korea, among others, and coordinates these partners. INDI sees the “supercomputer,” a Windows PC with an i7 chip on an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card, as a special standout feature. Not for the driver, but for the passengers.
